3T crawler excavators, also known as standard excavators or crawler excavators, operate on two tracks instead of on wheels. Although they are slower than wheeled excavators, their tread makes them more suitable for rough or uneven terrain. As a standard, tracked excavators can be found in many different types of construction sites. However, they are most commonly used in mining operations, trench excavation, and landscape leveling. Compared to wheeled excavators, tracked excavators have larger dimensions and smaller ground clearance. The combination of low center of gravity and larger chassis weight provides higher load capacity and additional stability.
